Do you ever scratch your head and wonder?

I am sure you all know somebody that wears that AWFUL smelling rose perfume, it is cheap, and it permeates your nose, your clothes, and gives you an instant headache?

Well, I know a person that smells like she bathes in this stuff. We had a conversation the other day where she was telling me about how she can't stand the smell of coffee, she can't stand to enter a certain building because the odor kills her, she can't stand the smell of this and that and blah blah blah.

The whole time I am thinking to myself, 'You have got to be kidding me? YOu are standing here wearing THAT perfume?!' It really just makes you want to scratch your head.

I just finished reading 'THE GLASS CASTLE' by Jeannette Walls. If you haven't had a chance to read it, do, it is a good read. Many parts in the book made me scratch my head. I mean, really, what were those parents thinking?!

The one part just fascinated me, it was a scene where the little girl KNEW she heard something slither under her bed. So, she went to the living room to tell her Dad what she heard. He asked her if it had big gnarly teeth, with a scrunched up face, she told him THAT'S IT, THAT IS HIM! so, the Dad jumped up, gave her a pipe wrench, and he took his knife, they went in immediately to look under her bed, they looked all thru the house. He told her stories how that very creature had lurked waiting for him in his younger years, but he whooped it's rear end, and the thing was scared to death of REX WALLS now, once it discovered she was his little girl, it would never bother her again. I thought it was an interesting psychological ploy, the girl faced her fears, believing that she would never see this thing again, or her and her Dad would be forced to hunt it down, and show it a thing or two. I am most certain she never saw or heard anything in her room again.

I have no book to read, which is odd, I generally have a book on in the car during my commute. I just haven't found anything I'd like to listen to or read here lately, if you have an idea, please recommend something, I am an avid reader. My tastes vary, I am not pidgeonholed into one type of book. I will read most anything.

There is a book out there that I really want to read...it is called The Last Lecture - I read about the Author in the Sunday Parade section. It's about a professor that has terminal cancer and gave a really powerful lecture. I will be a blubbering cry baby when I read it! :)
